Description
Here is preserved an industry and lifestyle once common but nearly forgotten. It is one of the finest examples of an early 19th century Iron Plantation, forerunner of today’s iron and steel giants. the site includes the furnace complex, Ironmaster’s Mansion, and other buildings related to the operation of the furnaces.
