Description
Patone Cellars was founded during the summer of 2006 by Mario Patone. Winemaking in the Patone family can be traced back to Abruzzi Italy where grapes were harvested throughout the region to produce wine for family and commerce. Presently, Patone Cellars is in pursuit of making the highest quality of wine by merging modern techniques with traditional European methods.

My boyfriend and I thought Patone cellars was the best winery we visited on the BARRELS ON THE BRANDYWINE passport tour Saturday, 3/5/11. They are doing something right!

The consensus of a group of 9 that participated in the tasting of Barrels on the Brandywine was that Patone Cellars was superior to all the others. We even returned for a second premium tasting. Looking forward to the time when Mario has the physical facility he has designed.
