The mission of Charlestown Elementary School is to create a nurturing and child centered environment that provides opportunities for life-long learning skills that would enable the children in our care to grow into responsible, talented and caring community members.

The Charlestown School experience will include an emphasis on respect for self and others within the school and community. The Charlestown School experience will provide opportunities to celebrate the cultural diversity of our neighbors both far and near.

The Charlestown School experience will encourage growth in self-respect, self-confidence and an overall awareness of the world that surrounds the children. As a result, they will take the needed steps to prepare for the challenges to be encountered in all areas of academics, technology and communications. Their future in the new millennium will hold the promise of successful citizens of their chosen communities.
