Description

The mission of Easttown Library & Information Center is to provide the public with outstanding service and convenient access to literature and information in multiple formats. The library maintains collections of best-selling titles for adults, teens and children in a variety of formats. The library ensures access to information resources to all of our customers, including training in information technology. The library provide reference services in a variety of formats to customers of all ages and enables access to extensive collections for both research and leisure reading.
 
The Library’s collections have approximately 56,000 items in three primary areas (adult, teen and children’s). There is also a strong reference collection with many business resources, a wide selection of general interest magazines and newspapers, and a Local History Collection. Materials are available in print (including large print), DVD, music CD and book on CD formats. In addition, Easttown Library offers access to a wide array of electronic information sources through the Chester County Library System home page and the Access PA Power Library.
 
The Library has 27 public workstations, including in the children’s and teen areas, with high-speed internet access and the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Publisher). The Library also has free wireless internet access available to the public. Two workstations have Adobe Acrobat Professional 8 for the creation of PDF documents and two workstations have Adobe Photoshop CS3. One workstation has ZoomText, which magnifies the computer display for those who are vision impaired.
