Welcome to Exton Elementary and the 2009-2010 school year. Our school opened in 1940 as West Whiteland Consolidated School and replaced the five one-room schools in West Whiteland. Later, when the school became a part of the West Chester Area School District, its name was changed to Exton Elementary.

The Goal of Exton Elementary School is to provide every child with the opportunity and the motivation to learn and to achieve at their personal best. The key to achieving this is working together (parents, staff and students) to provide a positive school experience. It is my hope that this “Handbook” is one more effort toward a positive experience and informed communication between school and home.
