Mary C. Howse is synonymous with EXCELLENCE and known for its extraordinary sense of community. One of 10 elementary schools in beautiful Chester County, it has received national recognition by the U.S. Department of Education by receiving THE NATIONAL BLUE RIBBON AWARD for EXCELLENCE three times.

Our school community which is in the West Chester Area School District in West Whiteland Township is located 30 miles west of Philadelphia. Our diverse and talented student population of approximately 500 students are proud of their school. Our classroom and special teachers are dedicated and competent and we have a wonderful balance of teachers that combine their years of preparation, professional development, and creativity to offer our students an extensive repertoire of skills and acumen.
