Description
The mission of the Oxford Public Library is: to provide welcoming spaces for community interaction, access to information and lifelong learning; to provide public library services to the residents of the Borough of Oxford and the five surrounding townships; to provide materials and programs of interest to all ages; to provide free and full access to information; to extend the range of the local library through membership in the Chester County Library System. Brief Scope of Collection: 45,000 volumes covering a full range of interests and reading levels includes books, videos, DVD’s, books-on-tape and CD, magazines, and newspapers. A local history collection and the Chester County Press, 1886-present (microfilm and paper). Items not in the Oxford collection are available through interlibrary loan.
The library supplements its collection by providing access to information on the Internet through a T1 connection and Wireless Access funded by the Chester County Commissioners. To use the Internet, you must agree to abide by the terms of our acceptable use policy. Parents are expected to accompany young children. Wireless internet access for use with personal laptops and other mobile devices is available in all public areas of the library. High-speed internet access is also available on public access PCs.
