Rainbow is committed to creating a shared culture of respect and responsibility where children feel confident in themselves and in taking educational risks within the classroom. Over the last two years the Rainbow faculty has been trained in Responsive Classrooms. We are committed to providing our students with a solid base of academic and social needs. The Responsive Classroom approach will lay a foundation based upon: Our best knowledge of how children learn developmentally, culturally, and individually. Awareness that social and academic learning go hand in hand and the belief that all children want to learn and can learn. The staff will continue to meet the needs of students through differentiated instruction, studying best practices within education, and by setting long and short term goals for the school as well as our students. Together with parents, we will remain dedicated to teaching students the importance of respect, responsibility and making good choices in and outside of school. Rainbow staff members are dedicated to nurturing the unique individual inside of our students. Together, we work diligently to prepare our children to be caring, responsible human beings, skilled communicators, and life-long learners. Rainbow Elementary is a school that focuses on learning and making sure our children grow academically each school day. We encourage our families to get involved and to participate in the PTO during this school year. Together we can partner to make our successes last a lifetime.
